The Opportunity:

We are looking for multiple talented, curious, and energetic Software Engineers who embrace solving complex challenges on a global scale.

As a Visa Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional development team inventing, designing, building, and testing software products that reach a truly global customer base.

As part of this role you would be building omni channel solutions for our card holders, merchants, issuers to be able to get in touch with us and receive top notch support leveraging our contact center platform.

The Work Itself:

Essential Functions:

Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining efficient, reusable and reliable Java code for enterprise applications.Gain experience as full stack developers leveraging various front end and back end technologies.Gain experience with Spring (Boot) and Hibernate frameworksLearn to develop and maintain RESTful servicesDevelop front end applications using ReactDevelop using SQL/No-SQL databasesWork with Docker, Kubernetes, and Istio for containerization, orchestration and service meshLeverage industry standard CCaaS (Contact center as a service) platforms to solve for business uses cases

Provides relevant knowledge on the development of technical documentation of solutions and follows best practices in technical documentationCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new featuresEnsure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applicationsDevelop code that complies with secure coding guidelines and Visa Key Controls

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, or Computer Science, Information Systems or related field. OR Minimum three (3) years of directly related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Up to 2 years of professional experience or relevant internshipsBasic knowledge of Java, algorithms, and data structuresInterest in Docker, Kubernetes, and IstioUnderstanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable applicationExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication and team collaboration skills

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 73,400.00 to 103,750.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
