The Leidos Civil NISC IV program is hiring for Lead Software Engineer to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Oklahoma City, OK. The candidate will be working with a team of computer/electronics engineering professionals redesigning/upgrading wind sensor applications This position will be responsible for development and tech-refresh of the system software and related hardware interfaces.
Primary Responsibilities:
Focus on all the deliverables within the task order scope of work, whether it be in Software Engineering.Function as the lead for the group to track, define, and clarify work assignmentsFunction as the primary approver of timecards and ensure that hours and charge codes are appropriate and timelyFunction as the lead that would ultimately create, approve, and disseminate annual goal approvals/measurements and provide performance appraisals to the task orders’ support staff.Function as the point of contact for all information in and out of the group that would entail monthly reporting, month contract deliverables, and project deliverables.Primarily participate in all phases of development of application software to include architecture, design, implementation, debug, validation, and verificationPrimarily manage lifecycle to include requirements, system design, and testPrimarily produce software code that interfaces directly with hardware.Primarily debug and troubleshoot commands in object-oriented programming.Primarily analyze and translate requirements into system architecture that interfaces with hardware.Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline and 5+ years of experience. However, additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.Solid programming skills in C/C++ and knowledge of Linux OS architecture fundamentals to develop software for weather systems which includes multiple algorithms.Experience with FAA Weather Systems Engineering Software DevelopmentProficiency C++ development within Linux and Windows environmentsProficiency developing GUI applications within Linux and Windows environments.Proficiency working within a Linux environment.Proficiency developing hardware system design.Proficient in data communication methods and protocols such as Ethernet, USB, and RS-232Must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust interim clearance. (Must be a US Citizen or green card holder to qualify) Must be able to pass a drug test prior to your start date with Leidos.Preferred Qualifications:

Pay Range:Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
