Your Impact
We’re looking for a software engineering leader to lead and assist in the design, development and operations of the security services in the SIG, SSE and SASE space. The Ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in people management and leading development of software solutions and is comfortable working in a fast-paced technical environment, wants to solve big problems and cares about getting the little details right.
Own, execute and deliver significant features and initiatives with cross-team collaboration.Solve important customer problems and deliver the most impactful results.Track project status & deliverables, balance high quality product delivery under tight schedules and foster long term innovation.Contribute to all phases of product development, operations, and maintenance.Participate in system design, development and scaling of functional components.Influence the team for the best software development practices and effective DevOps.Contribute towards strategic quality, consistency and scalability renaissance initiatives within the organization.Contribute to a no-blame culture that values learning, transparency, accountability, trust, kindness, and mutual respect.Minimum Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in leading and managing software engineering teams.10+ years of experience in software development and technical role.5+ years of experience with data plane including C/C++, Rust, GO and working with SaaS and Cloud Technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, Containers.Preferred Qualifications Experience running/operating service in AWS/Private cloud and familiarization with EKS, Lambda, DB.Experience building RESTful APIs and API Communication using modern API gateways.Experience with DevOps, continuous integration, and continuous deployment practices.Solid understanding of Microservices architecture and distributed systems.Working knowledge of testing methodologies, monitoring, observability tools, and techniques.Knowledge of Networking (WAN, SDWAN), routing/switching, L3/L4, TCP/IP is a plusExperience building packages for CI/CD pipelines.Familiarity with federal compliance requirements (SOC2 and/or FEDRamp) in a DevOps environment.Participate in/drive threat modeling and risk management of our infrastructure.Drive efforts to achieve/maintain compliance such as SOC2, FedRAMP, etc.#WeAreCisco where every individual brings their unique skills and perspectives together to pursue our purpose of powering an inclusive future for all.
