State Street is looking for Junior application developer for the Alpha and Middle Office Technology Team, a part of Global Technology Services. This is a hands-on development position for a candidate who is wiling to learn latest technologies, Financial Services, has supported Front/Middle/Back office business units/clients, and has exposure to Cash Processing.

Understand and develop user interfaces and server side systems for complex securities and trading softwa Financial Services, has supported Front/Middle/Back office business units/clients, and has exposure to Cash Processing.Work closely with internal project teams and be capable of developing code in Java, J2EE, Springboot, Kafka using Microservices architectureWork in a dynamic, fast-paced (agile) environment similar to a start-up companyGain knowledge and get up to speed quickly on all team assignmentsParticipate in all team agile-related activities; including but not limited to daily stand-up, sprint planning and re-cap.What we value
Basic Experience on software development using Java, Html, Javascript.Knowledge on advance technologies like Spring, Springboot, messaging is a plusAbility to learn new technologies, public cloud framework and willingness to own and contribute to the projectStrong Analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation skillsAdvanced writing skills, including the ability to abstract/summarize highly detailed informationAbility to translate customer business needs into application requirementsPossess a strong ability to deliver against specific requirement in a timely fashion on a project by project basisDemonstrated planning and scheduling skillsEducation & Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors' or Master's degree in Computer Science or related fieldDemonstrated experience with programming languages such as Java, J2EE, SQL, Html and JavaScriptExposure to Springboot, Messaging (Kafka), Docker/Kubernetes, Microservices architecture is a plusExposure to concepts including: agile/scrum, object oriented programming, software engineering techniques, parallel programming, databases, unit testing, etc.Strong work ethic with ability to ramp up quicklyExcellent communication skills (verbal and written), good interpersonal skills, ability to gather and understand requirements in the financial sectorAbility to work in a fast paced environmentExposure to commercial software, developing multi-tier enterprise software solutionsAny exposure or knowledge of the financial industry is a strong plus, but not requiredAdditional requirements

Salary Range:
$70,000 - $115,000 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
