Software Engineer Practitioner

Job Summary:

Our client in Kanata, ON is looking for a Software Engineer Practitioner. This is a contract position.

What You Will Do:

Automation Test Developers The BSP and Driver development team is seeking an embedded automation tester to design and implement an automation test framework for the next-generation computing architectures in our cars. The main focus of this position is developing a test framework, test automation, setting up test benches, and testing execution for a secure bootloader and BSP. 

Responsibilities for Candidates: 

Set up the relevant embedded hardware for testing. Work with developers to identify critical workflows/tests, automate them, and execute automated test cases. Document test results and report defects. Maintenance and enhancement of existing test cases/framework.

Basics: 

Bachelor´s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent field of study.Strong ability to troubleshoot and solve problems. 2-5 years (minimum) experience in automation test development.Experience with embedded device testing.Expertise with Python. Solid verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a multi-site team environment where self-driven and self-motivated capabilities are key initiatives.Position fully onsite.
