Job Description

To our Advance manufacturing team we are seeking an software Engineer with a track record of success. Our innovative solutions boosts efficiency in semiconductor labs as well as in our manufacture by automatically calibrating microscope to safe unnecessary human work. We are primarily developing in Python on Windows platform. We are focused on automation, robotization and digitization for the factory and service use. The key contribution is to create, validate and implement solutions that improves productivity and throughput in line with the industry 4.0+ principles.  As a global leader in scientific research and innovation, we are committed to empowering our customers to create a healthier, cleaner, and safer world.

Responsibilities

Development of software for automatic diagnostics and calibration of transmission electron optics microscopes.Creating solutions from clarifying requirements, through prototyping, to delivering final implementation, including unit testing.Implementation of infastructure for controlling the microscope and interfaces for applications using our automation.Development of mathematical and physical models describing specific properties of the microscope.Collaboration with SW engineers, physicist, system engineers, factory representatives, application specialists from Brno facility as well as from Netherlands.

What technologies we are using

Development is in Python 3 (code is written in PyCharm), in the interface and some tools we also encounter C++, C#.Windows platform.Code is stored on GitLab, build is through Jenkins and we track our backlog in Jira.

Who are we looking for

Good knowledge of Python.Basic knowledge of image processing.Experience with Object Oriented design techniques/patterns.Position typically requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science or relevant field, such as mathematics, physics, particle optics etc.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Good understanding of software development processes and tools.Passion for mathematics, physics and programming, motivation to constantly improve, deepen one’s knowledge and apply it in practice.Solid skill in English (written, spoken).
