Position Title: Software Engineer Position Location: - First Preference; Phoenix, AZ - Second- Cleveland, OH and Pittsburgh PA Hybrid: 1 day in office and 4 days from home (this may change during the duration of the assignment) Days of the week: Monday through Friday OT: 5 hours per week potentially (related to deployments or meeting deadlines) Project/ initiative: Infrastructure Change Automation Organizational Structure And Impact: impact this role has within the bank/LOB- Risk and Cost - Develop and automate any change work the group is asked to complete in the bank. Additional needs will free existing workers for additional tasks for value add work and improving quality and stability of work with automation. function the group supports from an LOB perspective: Supports all lines of business for underlying infastructure current initiatives that this resource will be impacting: Automation of infrastructure Team Background and Preferred Candidate History: Industry background the team is comprised: diverse Candidate preferred industry background: n/a Dynamic of your team and where this candidate will fit into the overall environment: Team comprised of 18 individuals which include 4 currently focused on automation. Integrate with additional teams who execute the changes automated. Candidate Technical and skills profile:- Ansible developer experienced in developing automation for managing Linux and Windows servers. Key responsibilities: Agile Ceremonies Sprints Requirements Developing (fixing defects) Testing Supporting releases 70-80% development Write scalable, secure, maintainable code that powers our clients platforms Create, deploy, and maintain automated system tests Work with Testing Teams to understand defects or issues opened and resolves them in a timely manner Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review Must have technical skills/experience: Ansible developer experienced in developing automation for managing Linux and Windows servers. Experience with automation and configuration management tools to manage and deploy servers and applications (Ansible, Python, Bash, Powershell, etc) Experience with Linux and Windows System Administration Experience with networking (TCP/IP, switching, routers, firewalls, etc.) Use and development of scripts using Ansible and Ansible Tower to provision and configure, servers, services, applications and security API development Basic knowledge of code version control (e.g. Git, SVN) Flex Skills: - Ansible and Ansible Tower - Python/Bash/Shell - Experience providing REST/SOAP APIs for user interface consumption - Experience working within an Agile development methodology (Scrum) - Experience working with C++, Java, or JavaScript is a plus Soft skills that would make a candidate successful in this role: Work within a team and successfully communicate remotely Translate requirements through teams of different technical levels Strong attention to detail and quality focused Flexibility to adapt to evolving priorities and dynamic project needs Collaborate effectively with other team members to accomplish shared user story and sprint goals Invest time into professional development to stay up to date with new technologies and programming languages Degrees or certifications for the candidate to be successful: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 2-3 screening questions: Provide examples of ansible automation developed for managing linux and windows environments Role Differentiator: Provides an opportunity to create solutions for a large enterprise environment leveraging cutting edge technologies.
