**Job Description:**
Software Engineer Staff III works effectively across the entire software development life cycle, including requirements definition, prototyping, detailed design, coding, testing, deployment, and support of the day-to-day operation of production systems. The Software Engineer Staff III will collaborate with technical staff, management, and business operations staff to deliver solutions for complex business problems according to agreed timelines and budgets to support the mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Healthcare.
A Staff III candidate is an early-career professional in software development with broad knowledge and some working experience within the software development domain. Typically implements designs developed by others, adhering to enterprise standards and best practices. Functions independently and produces results that meet standards of quality, timeliness, and acceptability with minimal supervision and general direction. Works as a team player, providing ideas and support to peers and development team leadership.
**Job Description**
· **Develop and Enhance Software:** Code, test, debug, and document new features and enhancements in both proprietary and off-the-shelf software programs, using best practices for delivering robust, scalable, and secure software.
· **Collaborate with End Users:** Work closely with end users to understand, document, and develop software solutions, including database, business logic, API, and user interface features.
· **Agile Team Cooperation:** Communicate effectively within the Agile project team, providing status reports, developing project scope, estimating effort, and contributing to process improvement efforts. Foster an environment of team cooperation and job satisfaction.
· **Quality Assurance Collaboration:** Partner with the quality assurance team to ensure testability, maintain high quality standards, and achieve sign-off.
· **Operations Support:** Collaborate with the operations team to deploy and monitor software systems.
· **Continuous Learning:** Stay current with industry best practices, tools, languages, and techniques.
**Job-Specific Qualifications**
· Proficiency in **C# .NET (Core),** **Angular (16+)** , **MS SQL** , and **API development** .
· (Desired) experience with **MuleSoft, Oracle PLSQL, Microsoft Azure** .
· (Desired) experience integrating off-the-shelf solutions using .NET customizations.
· Experience in software design, coding, testing, debugging, deployment, and creating documentation.
· Strong understanding of data access, business logic, API, and user interface development.
· Excellent communication skills and rapport building in medium-sized teams.
· Capability to estimate effort and deliver timely on commitments.
· Positive-minded and willing to learn new things and enjoy working with others.
**Minimal Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Plus, 3 years of professional software engineering experience. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education or experience is verified.
+ Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
+ Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
+ Adept at conducting research into software-related issues and products.
+ Able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
+ Strong written and oral communication skills.
