Vulcan Steel Products looks to bring on board a bright, future leader in technology that can help us find more effective ways of tackling the

challenges of our growing need for technology. This opportunity will allow you to learn about our current and future objectives while expanding upon existing tools and helping create custom tools to fit every need. This position will play a critical role in day-to-day operations and will be vital to the advancement of the company. Our team supports a variety of different users including a national sales staff, two on-site administrative offices, and three distinct light manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities Respond to staff requests for support followed up with diagnosing, troubleshooting, and solutionsCollaborate with IT team members to find more efficient ways of completing tasksPartner with end users to assess needs and changes for functionality and ease of useAbility to identify and follow timelines for projectsDocument solutions and track support requests using a helpdesk systemManage software versioning and releasesDevelop applications, reports, and dashboards to help our departments make informed decisions.  Additionally, develop technical software documentation including requirements, design and user manualsAssist with managing databases needed for identified software needsAbility to crosstrain team and users Qualifications

Required 

BS Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related fieldTwo (2) years of back-end programing languages (Java, C#, C++, etc.) and front-end scripting languages (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS) or an equivalent combinationHistory of process improvement and problem solvingGood verbal skillsStrong desire to learnAbility to lift up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basisOther duties as assigned

Preferred

Experience with VBAExperience with Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with Power BIExperience with Salesforce Development or AdministrationExperience with ERP solutionsExperience with EDI solutions
