**Summary:**
Supernatural is seeking a Graphics Engineer to join our Client Foundation team, responsible for building and supporting the core platform for our Supernatural Fitness Quest app. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in shaping the development of our XR fitness platform, ensuring it is highly performant and provides an exceptional visual experience. You’ll collaborate with gameplay teams to design and develop rendering functionality that enables the creation of new fitness experiences. You’ll partner with team leads to plan and prioritize graphics feature development, using your experience in game engineering and knowledge of first-party systems and hardware. You’ll refine our architecture and best practices to ensure that Supernatural performs at or above spec on all target devices. You’ll participate in and improve an active on-call model that asks you to monitor, support, and improve how we manage a live service with continuous deployments.This is an ideal role for an experienced AAA game developer who is looking to branch into a new form of visual entertainment and immersion. Supernatural is not just groundbreaking, it changes people’s lives for the better.This is a key role in our organization. You’ll mentor and coach other engineers in game engineering best-practices. **Required Skills:**
Software Engineer (XR Graphics) Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and implement new rendering features and techniques to enhance visual fidelity, realism, and overall user experience.
2. Collaborate with the gameplay teams to identify and resolve rendering performance bottlenecks, ensuring the highest standards of performance and seamless visuals in Supernatural’s experiences.
3. Partner with the design team to ensure that rendering solutions meet artistic requirements and aspirations, while maintaining technical feasibility and performance.
4. Stay current with the latest advancements in rendering and XR technologies, identifying opportunities to integrate new features, frameworks, and improve the overall rendering quality and functionality of the Supernatural app.
5. Provide technical support for live applications and global operations, participating in an active on-call model to ensure seamless product performance and continuously improving monitoring and support processes.
6. Work closely with QA teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality releases, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
7. Collaborate effectively with the Client Foundation team with whom you will define and prioritize technical solutions that meet team objectives.
8. Conduct technical design reviews, code reviews, and retrospectives to ensure we are delivering a high quality product.
9. Drive gameplay rendering standards and best-practices by providing technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development within the team.
10. Cultivate collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams across our Technology discipline and Reality Labs to drive successful outcomes and deliver exceptional results.
11. Lead with empathy and understanding, creating a safe space to share ideas.
**Minimum Qualifications:**

12. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
13. 5+ years of Software development experience with Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in the field of Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a similar field or PhD + 2 years of experience.
14. 3+ years of rendering experience, with a focus on building highly-performant 3D applications.
15. Experience with graphics programming and rendering pipelines.
16. Experience developing in Unity, Unreal, or a robust game engine.
17. Experience developing in C#.
18. Experience with performance analysis tools and techniques such as profiling, benchmarking, and optimization.
19. Experience building technology infrastructure, frameworks, and tools that support application development.
20. Experience working on a live application at scale with high frequency shipping cycles.
21. Experience in the building, analyzing, testing, and validating of interactive applications.
**Preferred Qualifications:**

22. Experience working with OpenGLES and Vulkan APIs.
23. Experience developing VR applications.
24. In-depth understanding of game development in in Unity and C#.
25. In-depth understanding of VR hardware and how to optimize for performance.
**Public Compensation:**
$70.67/hour to $208,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
