Overview
Synopsys’s Software Integrity Group (SIG) division is looking for a Software Engineering Manager / Scrum Master (SEM) to lead the development effort of its open source management solution. The candidate will provide leadership across functional teams and subject matter experts in planning, development, and implementation of roadmap goals. The SEM will create, maintain, and manage a development plan tracking deliverables and resources based on the aggregation of multiple workstreams. The SEM drives the execution of the plan, ensuring all workstream timelines and deliverables are met. The SEM will develop and manage communications with cross functional team members and senior management in Engineering, QA, and Product Management.
Responsibilities
Provide hands-on direction to a software engineering team, in collaboration with product management and/or architecture leads, for the delivery of agreed upon roadmap itemsDrive delivery of engineering deliverables across multiple development organizationsServe as the scrum master responsible for successfully leading the efforts of all cross functional teams, including development, user experience, and quality assurancePartner with Product Management to ensure successful delivery of the product to the market from conception to releaseCommunicate engineering release health, issues, and risks to stakeholders at varying levels throughout the organizationProactively manage engineering risks and issues to mitigate or eliminate undesirable impactServe as the primary communication mechanism within the development team ensuring each workstream is giving and receiving the right information at the right time from the right resourcesBuild strong partnerships across the organizationTake initiative as a technical problem solver able to proactively identify and understand technical issues and challenges and bring the right resources together to resolve themLead scrum meetings
