In This Role, You Will: At Cvent, our paid Technology Apprenticeship Program is designed to provide real-world mentorship and experience to individuals coming from non-traditional education paths, who are eager to kickstart their career as a Software Engineer. In this role you will work closely with industry-leading professionals and contribute to the success of our software company. You will be assigned projects that align with our production schedules and operational needs, allowing you to gain extensive exposure to the technology department. What to Expect: • Work on large-scale, cloud-based applications with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability • Dedicate ~20% of your time to self-led training using the Pluralsight eLearning platform, with an assigned technical track for foundational upskilling • Gain experience with different database technologies, from traditional relational to the latest NoSQL products • Work in a collaborative, team-based Agile environment • Identify and resolve issues related to customer experience • Analyze the functionality of our web-based software platforms, mobile devices, and backend systems Here's What You Need: • Preference is given to candidates who have successfully completed a web development or software development code school or up to an associate degree in a related field. Those with a bachelor's degree in computer science or related fields should not apply to this position. • Ability to work remotely and in the office, following Cvent's hybrid work policy, with 2 in-office days on Wednesdays and Thursdays at our Headquarters in McLean, Virginia. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to effectively identify and address technical challenges. • Strong oral and written communication abilities to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders. • Willingness to work alongside senior team members and managers to enhance your professional development.
