Debugs and characterizes defects, providing detailed configuration and descriptions of passing and failing test for product evaluation reports. Has knowledge of commonly used software languages, development tools, development concepts, practices, and general engineering released support activities. Acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks. Works on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgement. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: + Perform formal and informal software testing to verify quality and reliability for product requirements + Conduct both automated and manual testing of applications + Complete test asset creation, test execution, error reporting, analysis, and reporting on testing outcomes + Assist in writing and developing software test procedures + Assist in writing / updating requirements specifications and Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM) + Assist in writing / updating design documentation (i.e., ICD, SDD, etc.) + Assist in writing / updating software user manuals / documentation + Assist in the assessment of requirements for testability + Perform and assist hardware and software integration tasks + Collect / record engineering test data toward a given objective + Continue training/education to develop software skills to support MSI software test applications + Must be at assigned worksite during assigned hours 100% of time;
