Collins is looking for a passionate Software Engineer with full stack programming experience to provide technical excellence in the fast-growing Cabin Systems market.  You will be involved in all stages of the product development lifecycle across various products.  Tasks will include designing software solutions for complex systems, implementing software solutions from existing designs, software documentation and testing. 

  

You will work with team members in a technologically advanced and challenging field supporting the development of new features and functionality across multiple products ranging from: Netflix like streaming service, wireless technology, Android/IOS App development, Embedded Java development, graphical user interface development with emphasis on user experience and cabin entertainment systems and helping to bridge consumer electronics to the aerospace industry.  Join us and be a part of putting information and entertainment systems on the world’s premier personal aircraft.  

Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session that will run from June-December 2025 (this includes the Fall semester; it is expected that students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).

 

What You Will Do:   

Writing code for new features for an existing product line.  

Debugging issues in the lab.  

Ensuring the code meets requirements.  

Creating and executing tests.  

Creating, leading, and participating in code peer reviews.  

Supporting product integration.  

Collaborating and working with remote peers.  

   

Qualifications You Must Have:  

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

Qualifications We Prefer:

Good problem solving, decision making, and teamwork.  

Experience and/or knowledge of scripting languages: HTML, CSS, Javascript, Python, Robot test framework  

Experience with the following programming languages: Java, C/C++  

Extended knowledge of software engineering tools and processes.  

Practical experience in all aspects/phases of product design, software implementation and system integration & test  

Experience with both waterfall and Agile development life cycles.  

Experience with debugging computer networking issues  

Experience and/or knowledge of full stack web development - on one of frontend JS frameworks - AngularJS, Node.js, Vue.js.  

Experience and/or knowledge about native/hybrid mobile application development (Swift for iOS, Java/Flutter for Android)

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
