Job Description SummaryAn Engineer Co-op role is an educational opportunity for an Engineering student to work alongside senior engineers in the design and
development of software components and solutions for the GE Healthcare Surgery Imaging products. This role will be responsible for
individual and team assignments and will work with cross-functional teams to design and develop complex Imaging systems and
components throughout all phases of the product development life cycle. Activities include software implementation and testing of Imaging
sub-systems and components including analysis, simulation, documentation, prototyping, testing, verification, and integration of software.

Description
An Engineer Co-op role is an educational opportunity for an Engineering student to work alongside senior engineers in the design and
development of software components and solutions for the GE Healthcare Surgery Imaging products.  This role will be responsible for
individual and team assignments and will work with cross-functional teams to design and develop complex Imaging systems and components
throughout all phases of the product development life cycle.  Activities include software implementation and testing of Imaging sub-systems
and components including analysis, simulation, documentation, prototyping, testing, verification, and integration of software.
Responsibilities
Assist in the design and implementation of automated test frameworks to identify issues and regressions with sub-components
used in Surgery imaging systems 

• Triage software defects (with guidance of senior engineers) to identify root cause and implement solutions. 
• Verification and Validation of software design and requirements, including supporting engineering builds and testing 
• Reliability analysis of components and systems   
• Participate in peer code reviews
• Prepare documentation to capture software designs and requirements
Qualifications/Requirements
• Pursuing a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent major 
• Sophomore year minimum
• GPA: 3.0
