We can help you to understand how Chromium Embedded Framework (CEF) and WebView2 work together with Windows desktop applications. You will see how the C++ world is connected with JavaScript and how we can do a nice and cool user interface. We care about millions of Windows users using our antivirus. Are you curious about how the detection dialogs work? Do you want to see how a virus scanner finds and eliminates threats? We can show you.
About the role
In the beginning, you will explore our applications (Avast, AVG, Norton or Avira AV for windows), try to compile AV locally, see how build pipeline is working, observe pull requests of your collogues. Later on you will fix your first small issue in CPP. Later depends on your skills you will take a bigger tasks.
This full-time internship runs from 1st July to 30th September and is primarily on-site at our offices in Brno.

About the role
You will start by exploring our applications (Avast, AVG, Norton or Avira AV for windows), focusing on how our UI reporting works. You will investigate its implementation, understand the underlying processes, verify its accuracy, and learn where to locate the relevant data.
As you progress, you will become familiar with our UI repository (JavaScript) and collaborate with the analytics team to define reporting requirements. You will implement reporting solutions, analyze data, and ensure accuracy. Additionally, you will maintain documentation and communicate with analysts across different teams to enhance reporting efficiency and effectiveness.
