**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Support research and analysis on current and anticipated needs of API Product customers
+ Consider customer experience in all aspects of decisions and actions
+ Act as the liaison between Business Systems Analysts, Technical Architects, Software and Quality Engineers and project management groups within UnitedHealth Group
+ Anticipates customer needs and proactively develops solutions to meet them
+ Serves as a key resource on complex and/or critical issues
+ Develops innovative approaches
+ Monitor product metrics and propose solutions to improve efficiencies
+ Develop and document detailed source-to-target data mapping and data transformation rules
+ Ensures non-functional requirements are considered as part of the solution (reliability, availability, security, usability)
+ Develop detailed Product (API) design documentation including API message schemas , Processing Logic, Process Flows, Aggregation, Routing, Transformation and Error Handling logic
+ Present and evaluate Product (API) Design solutions objectively and facilitate conflict resolution
+ Support the development of virtualized APIs by creating sample API request/response messages
+ Support the API Development , Operations and Support teams in the development and ongoing maintenance of APIs.
+ Solves complex problems and develops innovative solutions
+ Plan and Deliver frequent increments and value every couple of weeks
+ Reviews work performed by others and provide effective guidance
+ Executes on the product roadmap
+ Understands, Communicates, Authorizes deviations from standards
+ Partner with implementation teams and reflect on their approach on a regular basis and adjust accordingly
+ Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). **Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
+ Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
+ 2+ years of experience in a senior-level Applications Developer and/or architecture role
+ 1+ years of solution/application architecture & design experience involving heterogeneous enterprise scale systems & software
+ Experience in Solution Architecture, Technical Architecture, Design Patterns, Data Ingestion
+ Experience in Agile methodologies, grooming Features and Stories, able to work with Product Owners, Developers, and Enterprise architects and drive architecture solutions across the team
+ Experience with Graph QL, Java 11, Springboot
+ Experience with canonical data models designed to support reusable event-based processing
+ Experience with designing and implementing RESTful Web Services with Microservices design principle using Spring Boot or a similar framework
+ Healthcare Industry experience
+ Healthcare EDI Experience
+ Expertise in developing solutions hosting within key major cloud providers such as AWS, Google Cloud and Azure
+ Knowledge of industry standard patterns, practices, best practices in using technologies including Microservices and containers, Cloud, message streaming, REST and web services APIs
+ Good understanding of public cloud environments (AWS or Azure)
+ Good understanding of No SQL data stores (e.g. Elasticsearch, Cassandra, MongoDB etc.), table definitions/index, Avro, JSON, Kafka Streaming, event driven architecture, microservice architecture
+ Understanding of RDBMS concepts, entity modeling and SQL query (MySQL and/or MS Sql Server)
+ A focus on architecting near real-time business event-driven solutions using publish-subscribe patterns and data streaming technologies
+ Proven excellent time management, communication, decision making, and presentation skills
+ Ability to display a solid desire to achieve and attain high levels of both internal and external customer satisfaction
