Software Engineering Senior Advisor- Hybrid

The job profile for this position is Software Engineering Senior Advisor which is a Band 4 Senior Contributor Career Track Role with Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc.

Responsibilities-

Support larger Development Operations (DevOps) Engineering projects and run smaller opportunities independently.

Provide DevOps technical and automation leadership, while offering support to scrum teams.

Responsible for configuring and maintaining Source Code Management using Github, GITLAB, and TFS.

Responsible for real-time monitoring using Splunk and Dynatrace, environmental management, and troubleshooting across development, testing, and production environments.

Design and code modules for infrastructure, application, and processes.

Partner with team members and enterprise customers locally and regionally to design, develop, and maintain the support processes for application configuration and deployment.

Lead CI/CD and operational automation on various enterprise technology platforms such as Linux, Windows, AWS, containerization orchestration (Openshift/Docker) over technology assets like ETL, Databases (SQL, Oracle, Mongo), Microservices, Java Services, Shell Scripts, Python, and Terraform. Coordinate across infrastructure groups and development teams to enable Cl/CD pipelines for various applications.

Build systems for new application initiatives when needed, take ownership of core automation tools such as Jenkins and Github, and ensure application infrastructure is secure, recoverable, maintained, and highly automated.

Maintain cutting-edge knowledge of current and emerging technologies, industry trends and standards, DevSecOps best practices, and continuously look for ways to improve current DevOps practices enabling self-service and innovation. Virtual/work from home benefit (hybrid schedule) available.

Qualifications-

Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and 3 years of IT experience (or a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and 5 years of IT experience). Must have experience with: developing cloud-native CI/CD workflows and tools to support HealthCare initiatives using tools such as Jenkins, Code Deploy (AWS), and Gitlab; designing and implementing cloud-native security concepts, DevSecOps, and MLOps; GitLab-CI; Kubernetes; Liquibase; UrbanCode Deploy; and Kafka


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
