The Position

We are seeking a talented and motivated Supervisor to lead the Scanning Transmission Electron Microscopy (STEM) software group, consisting of multiple diverse and highly specialized engineering teams. This group is part of the Central R&D organization, and it develops and delivers software solutions that control and calibrate hardware components, enabling users of our Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) products to extract STEM imagery in all the ways needed to perform their experiments.

As a supervisor, you will coordinate the design, development, and maintenance of such software solutions, as well as driving technical excellence, fostering collaboration across teams and competencies, and aligning projects with organizational goals. You will mentor engineers, promote agile practices, and ensure the delivery of robust, scalable, and innovative software solutions.

Key responsibilities include, but are not exclusively:Manage your team's performance and professional growthLead by example and inspire multiple software engineering teams, ensuring alignment with the group's objectives.Manage team members' performance and career growth.Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and professional development, providing direction, guidance, and coaching to team members.Oversee software development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality and timely deliverables.Encourage collaboration with cross-functional teams, including hardware, testing, and product management, to deliver integrated solutions.Promote Agile/Scrum and SAFe practices.Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education, experience, and competencies:

Strong expertise in software development methodologies and technologies.Leadership, negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working with Scrum teams.An organized way of working.Ability to rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities.Fluent in English.Knowledge/hands-on experience in Electron Microscopy is a plus.We offer:
