We are seeking an experienced software engineering personnel manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing a diverse group of 10+ software engineers who are developing decision support tools and capabilities for the Department of Defense.
We are seeking an experienced software engineer with a strong desire to manage and mentor a diverse group of staff to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in helping their direct reports navigate their careers and grow their skills as software engineers. Responsibilities include managing a group, establishing technical excellence, oversight, and leadership on projects.

**Software Engineering Supervisor Position Requirements:**
+ **US Citizenship**
+ **The nature of work (i.e. interactions with the intelligence community and DoD programs) requires eligibility to apply for and hold a US security clearance; selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements at the time of employment**
+ BS, MS, or PhD in engineering, computer science, physics, applied mathematics, or a closely related field with 8-10 years of relevant work experience **OR** MS with 6-8 years of relevant work experience
+ Previous leadership experience (project and/or management experience) leading large groups of technical staff (>10); understands what an effective employee looks like and how to address issues related to performance management
+ Strong software engineering / development background (native and / or full stack); passionate about best practices
+ Attention to detail and strong organization skills
+ Team player with excellent presentation and written / oral communication skills
+ The optimal candidate will split their time between personnel management and execution on technical projects
+ Occasional travel may be required depending on the candidate’s technical project role. Typical travel is 1 week every 3 months on average.
