Business: Wholesale Technology

Principal responsibilities

The Wholesale Technology Lead for ASP Markets is accountable to the Head of Wholesale IT Hong Kong and CIO ASP Markets, as part of the team of Business Engagement Manager (BET Manager) of Wholesale ASP. The role provides market oversight and co-ordination for all technology services and market business relationship in the Markets for Wholesale businesses, liaising with resources from multiple technology disciplines.

Communication

Attend relevant region/country chaired governance committees, engaging in and managing key Technology topics.Maintain oversight of technology investments across innovation and transformation initiatives.Support Regional CIO in maintenance of relevant government, regulatory and Board relationships. Charged with helping project teams and senior project sponsors navigate the bank's landscape and overcome HSBC scaling issues.

Advocacy

Ensure the alignment of the Technology roadmap and Technology organization strategies with the business imperatives.Support the management of Technology– business relationship; represent Technology in business discussions and ensure necessary technology capabilities required by the business are developed.Responsible to Regional CIO for providing in-country oversight and co-ordination for all Technology Services and in-country business relationships; managing resources from multiple Technology disciplines.

Consultancy

Provide region/country COO/key stakeholders with full oversight of and advice on all Technology issues related to the Country e.g. resolution of critical Technology incidents co-ordination of key change and delivery deployments in region.Consulted on delivery status of overall service/application health for region/country CIO owned applications, and expert advice provided/facilitated from wider GB/GF as necessary.Consulted on problem management and root cause analysis related to Region/Country CIO Owned Applications where applicable, and expert advice.

Demand Management

Assess and ensure business demand aligns with investment plans Technology Strategy.Responsible for ensuring that all country demand is clearly articulated within global portfolios and for ensuring that relevant information is captured to enable local demand to be prioritized at the global level.
