REQUIRED

Skills/Functions:

 

Working closely with our team of developers and QA analysts, you will understand and anticipate the engineering infrastructure, build and continuous integration and delivery needs of our Agile SDLC development and QA processes. This is a hands-on highly technical role leading R&D projects and teams to a successful delivery of projects by planning, coordinating and leading activities.

 

· Expertise in the areas of engineering ops; 3+ years in design, development and configuration of engineering infrastructure systems and build automation

· Implement scalable and shared build, test, and deployment automation systems

· Work across functional (development/testing, deployment, systems/infrastructure) and project teams to ensure continuous operation of build and test systems

· Must have experience in one or more of the following configuration frameworks with distributed build automation tools (Jenkins, CI, SFDC Builds, Sonar etc.)

· Must have experience with Java and application development, scripting with Python or similar. SFDC development experience will be a major plus

· Must have experience with ETL and BI data modeling and visualization tools such as Spotfire, Tableau etc.

· Solid working knowledge of source control management systems (i.e. Git) and effective code branching/merging strategies. Experience in build-time dependency management tools and practices (Maven, NuGet)

 

ADDITIONAL SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES

 

· B.S. Engineering or other related discipline, or equivalent appropriate work experience

· Overall experience in the range of 3+ years in a large-scale enterprise platform support, focused on build and release engineering, DevOps / Development or QA

· Expertise in workflow/pipeline automation leveraging Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) workflows. Cloud deployment exposure will be a plus

· Multi-disciplined professional with bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

· Troubleshooting of issues and defects with Engineering Infrastructure.

· Develops and maintains build and continuous integration systems

· Systems may include: Requirements, Traceability, Tasks, Test Case Management, Test Result Management, Time Tracking, Automated Build, Release management, Source Code Management, Third Party component repository, etc.

· Ownership of assigned software, infrastructure, and non-software deliverables.

· Contributes to continuous improvement of our operation.

· Ensure all work is reviewed to ensure adherence to the relevant standards.

· Timely and accurate reporting of project status as required by Line Manager.

· Escalate all issues in a timely fashion.

· High awareness of emerging software practices and software industry involvement

· Identifies emerging methodologies and champions them internally to improve Sparta operations

· Proven record for problem resolution and successful completion of complex projects on time

· Passionate about the digital landscape with desire for continuous learning and development

· Team player that can work with diverse groups across an organization

· Experience working as part of a team to provide the optimal solution for both business needs and project standards
