We are looking for a talented Software Integration Engineer to join one of our greenhouse engineering teams and help develop advanced software solutions that contribute to the performance and efficiency of complex machines, systems, and processes. You'll be part of a dynamic environment, working on software that drives essential technologies used in world-class production systems. These teams are typically sized 4-7 highly skilled and educated people.
In the Software Architecture teams, a Python engineer plays a crucial role in developing flexible and modern software architectures that support business objectives. The focus is on designing scalable, modular, and high-quality software solutions using Python and other technologies like C/C++.
As a Software Integration Engineer, you contribute to the long-term product roadmap and ensure software solutions align with business strategies. You'll conduct in-depth research, build prototypes to test new ideas, and mentor junior engineers. Experience with CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevSecOps principles is important, as well as knowledge of Linux and build systems like Bazel.
You are flexible to pick up different tasks depending on the phase of the project, for example;
Performing and reporting on in-depth investigations to support decision making processes
Building proof of concepts and prototypes
Coaching (junior, newly joined) engineers
Alignment with stakeholders within and outside Greenhouse
Designing and implementing the solutions chosen for production
Knowledge sharing and support towards Greenhouse and the wider community
Education And Experience
Bachelor's or Master’s degree
Experience in software engineering (full life cycle) using C/C++ and Python
Experience with SCM and CI/CD ecosystems, such as GitHub & GitHub Actions (is a plus), Atlassian, Azure DevOps.
Knowledge on Software Integration and Software Configuration Management (SCM) principles, DevSecOps tools and principles.
Linux (RHEL) and similar operating systems.
Containerization knowledge & experience (Docker, Kubernetes)
Build systems (Bazel is a plus)
