Job Description

In the Budapest Artificial Intelligence Development Center of Continental, Autonomous Mobility, we create next generation automotive software solutions which make automated driving safe and affordable. We work towards Vision Zero, a goal to eliminate fatal accidents happening every day on the world’s roads. We are looking for creative minds who are passionate to shape the future of automated driving by delivering world-class perception and fusion systems.

Our teams develop a camera-based surround view system as a driver assistance system. Four fisheye cameras provide video streams which are stitched together and reprojected to simulate a 3D environment. The created environment is used to support parking manoeuvres and slow speed visualisations in real time. The SW Integration Engineer is end to end responsible for the L1 to L3 validation testing from definition through production release validation.

Your Tasks

As a member of the Software Integration Team in the Human Vision Development Value Chain, you will be working on the integration of multiple SW components to an embedded system, and the build-up and integration of our Hardware-in-the-loop test environment. Working closely with the SW component, Feature Developer and Vehicle Integration Teams, you will be responsible for:

Develop a strategy for integrating SW consistent with the project plan and release plan.Identify SW components based on the SW architectural design and define a sequence for integrating themActing as a CI delegate for the project, provide necessary information to developers, training of the developers on usage of the DevGateCoordination of automated tests for the projectCollaborate to develop a strategy for testing the integrated SW following the integration strategyDevelop the test specification of SW integration test cases according to the SW integration test strategy for each integrated SW componentCorrect dataflow between software componentsIntegration of SW components according to the project release planProviding of checkpoints for the project on a regular baseSelection of test cases and performing test runs for the integrated SWExecution of test cases according to the test planDebugging and primary error analysis for assigning the error to a specific POReview and communication of the test results. 

QualificationsAcademic degree in electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent qualificationSeveral years of experience as a SW Integrator or Platform Integrator in the field of automotive embedded systemsVery good knowledge of Lauterbach debugging, CANoe, CAPL or C#, vTestStudio and VTSystemGood knowledge of the automotive software development (C++) and test process e.g. ASPICE, ISO26262, Classic/Adaptive Autosar and Continuous IntegrationGood knowledge about the Continuous Integration and Build tools (JIRA/Git/Github/Jenkins/Compiler)Technical knowledge of driver assistance function and sensorsExperience as ISTQB® certified tester – foundation level, ideally ISTQB® certified tester – test automation engineerVery good knowledge of English, both written and spoken.

Nice To Have

Experience in working on ADAS/AD applications.Experience in development of multiple-configuration, multi-purpose software frameworks, time-critical solutions and component schedulingExperience in working with automotive communication software layers.
