Job Description Day to Day: In this role, you'll leverage your strong C++ and Linux expertise to dive into complex issues and mentor younger engineers. Your day will involve leading projects through the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), utilizing tools like Git, Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence. You'll coordinate Jira issues, manage project scope, and assist engineers with their features and bugs. While you won't be coding all the time, you'll play a crucial role in the daily operations of the software team, ensuring smooth collaboration across multiple groups and accurately communicating capabilities to government customers. You'll spend 2-3 days a week onsite, working in the lab and occasionally traveling to test and integration sites across the US. Your friendly and engaging personality will help you work effectively with other software leads, sharing your opinions and experiences to drive the team forward. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching.
