As a Software lead designer, you will be working in the Multidisciplinary Tooling Software team, serving tooling projects across business lines in ASML. Develop PC based LabVIEW, C# .NET and PLC based embedded software solutions and integrate these on the respective multidisciplinary tools, serving both ASML’s as well as our supplier’s tooling needs.
Role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you are challenged as a lead software designer by demanding projects in a multidisciplinary context. You have a strong background in software development and mechatronic integration, able to drive the full scope on tooling software projects. You drive and develop software design and realizations using LabVIEW or Low-Code software design technologies within an Object Oriented design approach, and are comfortable navigating between scrum based, agile way of working and project approaches.

Be a tooling lead software designer, able to lead co-software developers within a multidisciplinary project, collaborating with multiple stakeholders such as architects, electronics, mechatronics and integrators.Solve technical roadblocks within a small team, manage your stakeholders in the project environment.Strive for continuous innovation, makes suggestions and encourage team members.Support integration of the software solutions on the relevant hardware. Own and drive the software and integration plan in alignment with overall project.Agree (handshake) with tooling product owner on software detail plan.Secure quality of team deliverables.Assess functional and integration risksEducation and experienceMinimum 2 years of experience as lead developer in the high-tech sector.Minimum 6 years of experience in designing technical software for multidisciplinary high-tech equipment.Experienced in driving software designs in an object oriented approach.Experienced with LabVIEW software solutions in measuring and analytical test equipment.Experienced with MATLAB, C# .NET, C++, Low-code or Python software solutions.Experienced with outsourcing development activities and working with suppliers / co-development partiesSkillsStrong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are crucial. You have a flexible mindset and drive to meet or exceed project expectations. You are ambitious and willing to embrace the opportunity to improve.
