Software Licensing Manager

Job Description

As a License Manager within our Global Applications team, you'll be at the heart of managing, optimizing, and ensuring the compliance of all software licenses under our global application services. Your expertise will be vital in making sure Fugro operates efficiently, minimizes licensing costs, and mitigates any legal risks associated with software usage.

Your role  

You develop and implement a comprehensive software license management strategy including policies, procedures and tools for Global Application Services; 

Through our IT Asset Management tool, you maintain an accurate inventory of all software licenses, including license types, quantities, renewal dates and associated costs; 

You monitor software usage and optimize license allocation to ensure efficient utilization and cost-effectiveness; 

You develop and enforce software license policies and procedures to ensure compliance with licensing agreements and to minimize risks; 

You maintain inventory records that include software name, license information and period of performance in coordination with Configuration Management practices; 

You try to avoid unnecessary asset purchases by promoting software functionality analysis and/or comparisons to avoid duplicate software; 

You ensure all software is licensed, plan for the renewal of the software lisenses and make sure to provide the proper lisenses to the business teams; 

 

Your track record 

You have a BSc or MSc degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field; 

You have at least 3 years of experience in enterprise software license management, IT Asset Management or a similar role; 

You are certified in ITIL or another relevant license management certification; 

You have a strong understanding and practical experience with ITIL and configuration management best practices including managing and maintaining a software library to include SLA’s and warranties; 

You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills; 

You have excellent English language skills, both written and oral.
