Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Program Manager to monitor progress and lead a software engineering team through their engineering life-cycle. The ideal candidate will identify and troubleshoot issues, set up change requests, capture status, and report to the project lead. You will provide technical guidance and direction to ensure high-quality software releases.
ResponsibilitiesMonitor progress as per the program requirements.Lead a software engineering team through the engineering life-cycle.Identify and troubleshoot issues within the engineering life-cycle.Set up change requests and capture status reports.Understand and utilize branching techniques to drive development.Assist software engineers/developers in navigating appropriate channels.Provide technical guidance and direction in developing software requirements, design, code, and test procedures.Establish and maintain the Software Development Plan (SDP) and software development environment.Ensure all software engineering activities are managed efficiently and effectively.Develop resource estimates for manpower, schedule, cost, and scope.Establish work assignments and collect completion statuses from individual engineers.Manage software engineering execution throughout the project lifecycle using project metrics, risk management, structured decisions, and project status reports.Coordinate with Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineers and Configuration Management (CM) Engineers.Support Peer Reviews, Software Configuration Control Boards (SCCBs), and other project-related meetings.Work with CM Engineers to develop build scripts and execute software builds with release notes.Essential SkillsTechnical leadership experience in communicating with engineering team leads.Overall software development experience, including build and branching experience, understanding requirements, and scripting.Proficiency in C++, RTOS, Embedded software, CAN bus, Linux, object-oriented programming, and Python.Experience with software processes such as configuration management, scheduling, estimates, and software architecture.Strong CMMI experience.Work Environment
You will be reporting up to a Project Lead and leading cross-functional teams comprised of 5-10 engineers. The position allows for the ability to work from home and also onsite in hybrid environment. Additionally, you will be working on cutting-edge military technologies and obtaining a Secret-level security clearance.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43.27 - $67.31
