As a Software QA Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
Work with developers on testing features using a combination of manual and automated testing techniques. Identify, document, and track software defects found during testing. Be able to quickly understand customer network environment and more importantly, quickly setup test environment in order to verify feature or reproduce critical customer issues. Provide knowledge transfer to peer engineers. Work under delivery and customer pressure.We are looking for:
Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing/switching protocols, firewalls, VPN technologies Hands-on experience of Routers, Switches and Firewalls Extensive knowledge of application protocols: HTTP/FTP/SMTP/IMAP/SSL/TLS Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Deep knowledge of Windows, UNIX or Linux Knowledge of the virtualization technologies: VMWare, QEMU/KVM, AWS, Openstack etc. Knowledge of at least one scripting language: Shell, Python, Javascript, etc. Knowledge of software development life cycle. Self-managing and able to successfully handle simultaneous projects. Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience is desirable Vendor certifications like Fortinet NSE, Cisco CCIE, etc is a plus.

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $105,000 - $125,000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
