Software Quality Automation Engineer - Instructional Products Seattle,Washington,United States Software and Services Join our team in Instructional Products as we work to deliver experiences across the Apple ecosystem. We are responsible for the Tips applications and educational experiences on iOS, macOS, watchOS, and visionOS platforms that deliver innovative ways to engage and educate users about their software and devices. We are looking for an automation engineer to help deliver world class experiences within Tips and Help applications across the Apple ecosystem. As a contributor on this diverse and creative team you will be responsible for shaping how Apple customers learn about their hardware and software. **Description** As an automation engineer on the Instructional Products team, you will be responsible for testing features and interfaces used to deliver contextual instructional content to Apple's end users. In this position, you will have the unique opportunity to work with a variety of teams across a broad array of Apple's deliverables. Additionally, you'll connect with Apple's world class teams, as well as regularly work with our content writers, designers, and localizations teams. You will be responsible for: Providing quality-assurance testing for the software delivering instructional content on iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and visionOS. Designing test plans and scripts from functional specifications and assembling test cases. Managing our CI/CD pipeline to report on building and testing results automatically and consistently Using bug-tracking software to report issues, and maintain records of reported and resolved issues **Minimum Qualifications** + Skills in Swift, Python, and/or Objective-C + Experience in developing automated test suites using technologies such as XCTest or XCUITest in an IDE, such as Xcode. + Experience with CI, CD, and automation pipelines **Key Qualifications** **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience with REST, deploying services with Docker/Kubernetes, and Splunk + Strong understanding of testing methodologies and strategies + Strong communication skills working with a diverse technical and non-technical team + Strong attention to detail with a consistent delivery of large scale projects **Education & Experience** **Additional Requirements** **Pay & Benefits** + At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
