JOB SUMMARY:

Polaris, a global powersports leader, is looking for a QA Engineer to build high quality products on the Ride Command team. This is an exciting position on a team building world-class infotainment and connected rider solutions. As a technical contributor on the team, you will have the ability and empowerment to make changes and move quickly. You will have the opportunity to directly impact infotainment, connected vehicle, and cloud projects at Polaris. The ideal candidate is effective in a fast-paced Agile development environment, pushing industry best practices and system maturity through technical leadership, analysis, white box testing, automated testing, and performance testing of Ride Command products. Interest in powersports is a plus, as there are many opportunities to ride!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

Contribute to software quality initiatives by developing robust test cases that exercise full system functionality and align with program requirementsOrganize testing efforts to align with product delivery timelinesFlexible enough to work on multiple products being produced for a fast-changing marketHave a customer-focused mindset for delivering a product that is centered around a great customer experienceAnalyze system performance for bottlenecksBe an active participant in enhancing a mature agile environmentThoroughly document issues found, assign proper severity, and drive resolutionResponsible for executing both manual and automated test scripts to verify Infotainment component functional and performance requirementsConfigure test benches to support specific test scenarios, procuring hardware needed for the sameShould be comfortable with testing software on stationary vehiclesShould be comfortable with moving vehicles aroundShould be comfortable to ride vehicles to do performance evaluationMust be able to multitask and change gears between platformsCharacterize and document defects including identifying steps to reproduce, linking failures to requirements, and collecting all associated test logsDevelop and Update test cases as requiredInteract with multiple engineering disciplines (Systems Engineering, Software Development, Validation, Suppliers) to support defect resolutionInteract with global team set up and lead executionsInteract with vendors and determine execution strategies as neededTelematics and OTA experience in relation with connected vehicle

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar degreeAt least 5 years of QA experience including test plan design, creation, execution, and reportingEmbedded Linux, and/or C/C++ QA experienceTesting simulated CAN data (J-1939 preferred)Experience with Jenkins, TestRail, JIRAExperience developing applications or using test frameworks within an object-oriented programming language, Python preferredExperience using a software version control system, Git preferredStrong background and knowledge in system, smoke, white box, black box, integration, automated, and performance testingProven experience testing complex, integrated systems with a cloud connectivity componentExperience with Agile development methods such as Scrum and KanbanAbility to work in a collaborative, fast-paced team environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualification

Testing experience on automotive infotainment or embedded systemsMobile application testingBluetooth Classic connectivity testingProven experience testing complex, integrated systems with a cloud connectivity componentExperience with Bluetooth sniffer tools and protocol analyzers Exposure to any CAN tools (PCAN, CANoe, CANalyzer)Testing experience on automotive infotainment or embedded systemsUser Interface (UI) testing experienceUAT (User Acceptance Testing) experienceExperience with designing and building wired harnesses

The salary range for Minnesota is $79,000 to $104,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
