The Red Hat Converge Platform CI team is seeking a Quality Software engineer to join us. This team serves as the final checkpoint before code is released. In this role, you will perform function, integration, and automation testing on Red Hat's cloud infrastructure project, Red Hat OpenStack Platform.
The Team focus is Openstack and Openshift customers. You'll be encouraged to come up with innovative solutions to problems while you work alongside some of the brightest engineers in the open source community.
What You Will DoDesign & execute system integrating tests of OpenStack & Openshift architectures.
Develop, Automate & Maintain CI and acceptance testing jobs using Jenkins, Prow, Zuul and Python automation tools for OpenShift Operators
Write clear and accurate bug reports
Focus on building testing coverage of new features, including negative testing
Help OpenSource community develop automation testing framework and enhance the coverage by adding more tests to the existing suite
Participate in the design sessions of the product side by side with cloud architects and project managers to scope, prioritize new features and propose appropriate test strategies
Collaborate with development team to define testing requirements during the planning phase (especially for end-to-end testing of RHOSO Operators)
What You Will Bring
2+ years of experience as a quality engineer, dev-ops engineer, or system administration
Linux or UNIX system administration experience
Experience with Jenkins, Zuul or Prow administration
Experience with Git/Github or other version control system
Experience with cloud computing environments or virtualization technologies like Openstack, AWS, VMware, KVM, and Xen.
Solid written and verbal communication skills in English
Good knowledge of Ansible, Docker and Python is a plus
Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or CCNP certifications are preferred
