Your Mission:
As a Software Reverse Engineer at ClearEdge, your mission is to analyze and reverse-engineer complex software and systems to uncover their behavior and functionality. Your expertise will enhance internal threat intelligence, strengthen defenses, and contribute to proactive cybersecurity strategies.You Will Excel If You Are:A curious and resourceful investigator who thrives on uncovering the hidden details of complex systems.A meticulous thinker who leaves no stone unturned when analyzing malware behavior and vulnerabilities.A proactive learner who stays ahead of emerging cybersecurity threats and trends.A creative problem-solver who develops innovative tools and techniques to enhance malware analysis.A clear communicator who can effectively translate technical findings into actionable recommendations for diverse stakeholders.A team player who collaborates effectively while also excelling in independent work.Passionate about contributing to a mission-focused environment that prioritizes cybersecurity excellence.A Day in the Life:Perform static and dynamic analysis of hardware, firmware, and/or software using advanced tools and techniques.Document malware behavior and patterns to enhance internal threat intelligence repositories with actionable insights.Write detailed technical reports on findings, including recommendations for mitigation and defense strategies.Develop or enhance tools to streamline malware analysis processes.Stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends and malware tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).Must Have:TS/SCI with polygraph clearance10+ years of experience in software analysis, reverse engineering, or related cybersecurity fields.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Expertise in low-level programming languages such as C, C++, and Assembly.Proficiency with reverse engineering tools like IDA Pro, Ghidra, OllyDbg, or x64dbg.Experience with debugging and disassembly techniques.Strong understanding of operating system internals, including Windows, Linux, and macOS.Hands-on experience with virtualization and sandbox environments (e.g., VMware, VirtualBox) for dynamic analysis.Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for presenting technical information to diverse audiences.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.High attention to detail and persistence in solving complex challenges.Nice to Have:Advanced understanding of malware types (viruses, worms, ransomware, trojans) and their attack vectors.Knowledge of common obfuscation and anti-reverse engineering techniques used by malware.Familiarity with networking protocols and traffic analysis for malware communication.Relevant certifications, such as OSCP, GREM, CEH, or similar cybersecurity credentials.About us: We are an experienced advanced analytic development company providing Cyber solutions to current and emerging missions.
