Responsible for analysis, development, implementation, and documentation in a client/server environment that supports the Personnel Management Information System and supports other core business applications related to personnel data.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Analysis of programs specifications, basic database design, tables, views, and functions;- Development, test, debug, and implementation of applications and programs using web technology, C#.Net, Web forms, ASP.Net, Web Services and other tools, utilities and software;- Assistance with the development and implementation of project plans;- Development of documentation for applications, automated utilities, projects, and procedures directly related to tasks.
KSA’s and or Competencies required to successfully perform the work:
- Considerable knowledge of SQL Server Databases including: Analyzing project specifications and creating a database design; creating tables, views and functions and optimizing databases; - Considerable knowledge and ability in C#.net, Powershell, Web Forms, ASP.Net, Web Services (Secure), HTML, XML, XPath, JSON; - Considerable knowledge of enterprise web application design and development; - Considerable experience in Web Application Development using C#.Net in a multi-layered and multi-tiered environment; - Considerable experience in application debugging and problem solving techniques; - Knowledge and experience in the use of, JQuery; - Knowledge of full system development life cycle steps and associated best practices; - Demonstrated ability in maintaining/supporting automated computer systems; - Ability to efficiently use Visio, Visual Studio 2010 or later, Team Foundation Server, Windows 7, SQL Management Studio, SQL Server 2012; - Experience reproducing, triaging and assisting in the resolution and testing of fixes for system defects; - Experience using SQL (Structured Query Language) and SQL Server Management Studio policies/practices; - Ability to produce understandable and complete end-user and other system documentation; - Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision; - Ability to work as a team player and with all levels of management
Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Optional Skills:- Experience programming complex stored procedures- Considerable knowledge of and ability with MVC, Regular Expressions, Linq and Entity Frameworks- Knowledge and experience in BootStrap, Razor, JQuery, Knockout and Modernizer- Ability to effectively use DevExpress Tools Knowledge of COBOL and understanding the language is a plus.
