This position does not offer relocation assistance. **Job Summary** There is one position available that will be filled at either the Software Systems Engineer or Sr. Software Systems Engineer level, commensurate with the selected candidates' skills and abilities. Specific Duties May Involve: + Troubleshooting, testing, maintenance and repair of servers, workstations, and peripheral equipment associated with the Integrated Plant Computer System (IPCS). + Hardware support and maintenance for data acquisition systems. + Support and maintenance for the IPCS data diode system. + Support and maintenance for the plant historian system. + Scheduling and coordination of computer system repairs and maintenance with Engineering and Operations. + Maintaining accurate records of testing, calibration, and maintenance as required. + Performing software maintenance such as database modifications, system configuration, trending, and system monitoring. + Implementation and testing plant design changes to the IPCS. **Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience** **Software Systems Engineer:** 3+ years directly related experience. **Senior Software Systems Engineer:** 5-6+ years directly related experience Both levels: + Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot various complex components. + Demonstrated skills in the use of advanced controls techniques with hands-on experience of power plant control systems. + In-depth knowledge of industry advances in control system monitoring, testing, and analysis of controls equipment. + In-depth knowledge of field instrumentation and control valves. + In-depth knowledge of electrical and electronics theory. + Knowledge of engineering theories and principles. + Strong personal computer skills. + Proven decision-making skills. + Ability to solve problems and to process information quickly. + Knowledge of operating systems including Windows/Unix/Linux desired. + Working knowledge of a programming language and SQL desired. **Education Requirements** Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor Preferred Discipline(s): Business, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above. **Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description** **Working Conditions** Office Work Environment 76 -100% Travel Up to 25% **Other Working Conditions** **Test Description** No Testing Required **Export Control** Certain positions at Dominion Energy may involve access to information and technology subject to export controls under U.S. law.
