Job Description

Work with innovative tools like CVAT and gain hands-on experience in selecting, annotating, and auditing data used for AI training. This role involves using the Computer Vision Annotation Tool (CVAT) to accurately annotate and label images and data sets. You will work with data from various industries, including Marine Autonomy Systems, Mining Safety Monitoring Systems, and Government Programs of Record. The software technician will be responsible for selecting data precisely to improve the accuracy and efficiency of our AI systems. Additionally, you will audit data annotated by AI auto-annotation systems to ensure correctness and perform diligent quality assurance checks to maintain data accuracy, consistency, and reliability. You will actively learn and apply knowledge of how data is used to train AI systems and collaborate with AI engineers and ML experts for continuous improvement in system efficiency.

ResponsibilitiesUsing Computer Vision Annotation Tool (CVAT) to annotate and label images and data sets accurately.Working with data from several industries, including Marine Autonomy Systems, Mining Safety Monitoring Systems, and Government Programs of Record.Selecting data precisely to improve the accuracy and efficiency of AI systems.Auditing data annotated by AI auto-annotation systems to ensure correctness.Performing diligent quality assurance checks to maintain data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.Actively learning and applying knowledge of how data is used to train AI systems.Collaborating with AI engineers and ML experts for continuous improvement in system efficiency.Contributing to the broader understanding of how well-annotated data impacts the performance of machine learning models.Essential SkillsExperience with data annotation and labeling using tools like CVAT.Knowledge of computer science and computer vision principles.Understanding of AI and machine learning concepts.0-2+ years of relevant experience.Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Programming or Computer Science.Additional Skills & QualificationsInterest in AI and Machine Learning.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00
