DEKA is seeking a Software Test Engineer to develop automated and manual tests for innovative medical devices. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with software engineers and software test engineers to implement test software and test infrastructure for medical device software.

How you will make an impact as a Software Test Engineer:Understanding of real-time operating systemsDeveloping and documenting automated and manual test cases for software requirementsDeveloping unit testsRunning and approving test proceduresProviding input for defining software requirementsAttending code reviews for both production code and test codeCo-developing test infrastructure to communicate with the device and software-under-testAnalyzing code coverage metrics and updating tests to achieve additional coverageSkills you will need to be successful: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent experience2+ years of experience with C/C++ and Python2+ years of experience in software engineeringMust be comfortable in a structured development and test environment that requires as much documentation as codingMust have good analytical skills and be able to learn quickly in a dynamic environment.Must have excellent written and verbal communication skillsMust be detail orientedMust be able to work in a group environmentWorking knowledge of Java or Kotlin is a plus
