Job Title: Software Test EngineerJob Description We are looking for an individual who is passionate about quality and automation. This position will be developing test plans and procedures as well as creating, maintaining, and improving automation frameworks/infrastructure. In addition, this role will be developing innovative tools to boost our testing efficiency, debug failures, and make it easy to communicate results. This position will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting test automation results. The ideal candidate will be highly technical, detail-oriented, creative, motivated, focused on achieving results, and has worked on software that runs on hardware. Responsibilities + Develop test plans and procedures. + Create, maintain, and improve automation frameworks/infrastructure. + Develop innovative tools to enhance testing efficiency. + Debug failures and facilitate communication of results. + Monitor, analyze, and report test automation results. + Influence development and Quality Assurance best practices, methodologies, and processes. + Create Test Description Documents and Test Reports. + Design highly effective test strategies and decompose functional requirements into test cases. Essential Skills + Software testing + Automation testing + Test script development + Test Automation + Proficiency in Java, C#, and/or Python + Writing test scripts from scratch + Test equipment validation + Software test engineering + Embedded C + Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering or related technical discipline + Minimum of 5 years of software verification and validation and/or test automation experience, particularly with embedded software running on hardware + U.S. Citizenship required + Active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain it within a reasonable time + Experience with shell scripting in Python or a similar program + Experience designing and building automation frameworks/tools using a modern language such as Java, C#, C++, or Python + Deep understanding of software test methodology + Excellent troubleshooting skills and a creative approach to problem-solving + Strong oral and written communication skills + Ability to work independently and in a team Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience working on Linux and/or Unix platforms is preferred + Experience with C or C++ in embedded software development is a plus + Experience in Continuous Integration/Continuous Development automation pipeline is a plus Work Environment Work in a dynamic, customer-focused, and multidisciplinary environment. The role involves operating at both architecture and code levels to identify and address testability issues. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr. 401k. Will match 100% of the first 5% contributed• Vacation/Sick PTO (hours vary). Can also go negative 80 hours (40 vacation/40 sick if you haven’t accrued enough time) • Several staff events/employee appreciation days throughout the year Workplace Type This is a hybrid position in Bridgeton,MO.
