Develops and executes experiments and performance tests to assess reliability of Zebra’s devices /
solutions
Responsibilities:
Acts independently to design tests and create test procedures to address moderately complex
issues. Develop test plans. Create test scripts and execution methods.
Consistently applies standard and specialized testing methods appropriate for use at various
stages of the design and development process. Demonstrates full knowledge of product and
product cost drivers in area of expertise and proficient knowledge of other subsystem operation.
Demonstrates proficiency with standard and specialized engineering tools.
Perform testing following established test plans and procedures. Makes decisions independently
for new test procedures. Completes and reports results of tests per project timelines. Performs
moderately complex root cause analysis with support from within department and/or from
Engineering
Demonstrates full knowledge of software development life cycle, product and product cost drivers
in area of expertise and proficient knowledge of other subsystem operation.
May participate in the development of new engineering tools.
Works closely with design engineers and development teams to identify critical performance
parameters.
Acts independently to recommend and execute against actions for maintaining test progress.
Provides expertise in structured test design, test set-up, metrology, data collection, data
interpretation, and statistical analysis to design / project team.
Contributes to process improvement and automation projects.
May present test results to project team, in department management or small groups of other
stakeholders usually limited to Director and below
May oversee the work of one or more test technicians, acting as a lead and escalation point
Qualifications:
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Work Experience (years): 5-8 years
Key Skills and Competencies: Proficient with computers and experienced with known
software tools.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Good planning and organizational skills.
