Verdantas is seeking a Laboratory Technician I. This position will be located in our Temecula, CA Office.
Responsibilities: Perform laboratory tests on construction materials such as moisture content, compaction, sieves, hydrometers, Atterberg limits, corrosion suites, expansion index, concrete flexural strength, etc... Testing of HMA oil content, bulk specific gravity of HMA molded specimens or cores, theoretical maximum density Apply basic computer data templates, interpret test data, and prepare reports of test data
Qualifications: High School diploma or GED 1-2 years in Civil Engineering or lab testing, preferred Experience with ASTM, AASHTO, and Caltrans for soils, asphalt, concrete, masonry, and aggregate testing preferred Strong math skills Willingness to work in a soil environment which may require getting dirty Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and operate hand-controlled testing equipment Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record Must be able to pass the drug test and background check
