Solar Technician
Spark Power, a trusted partner in energy in North America, is looking for a Solar Technician to join our team.
The Solar Technician will travel to job sites around the US to help maintain solar, battery storage & electric vehicle infrastructure. The technician must be competent and qualified to work on electrical and/or mechanical components of Renewable Energy assets.

What you’ll be doing as a Solar Technician:
Working on a multitude of solar/battery systems, may include Samsung Implementing firmware updatesModule ReplacementHot/Cold CommissioningTroubleshootingCharging/Discharging Samsung batteriesFollow all Health and Safety policies to maintain a zero-incident workplaceComplete routine safety documentation before every job including tailgate meetings, electrical work permits, etc.Technical troubleshooting & preventative maintenance activities to maximize performance/productionEnergization/de-energization proceduresFollow & implement LOTO plans & proceduresInterpret schematics and blueprintsQuality assurance checklists and inspections to document deficiencies and identify corrective actions neededFollow OEM specific maintenance requirements in addition to company standards and industry best practices i.e. NETA MTS, CSA Z463, etc.Daily digital reporting and documentation of all work performedWork in a team-based environment and independently whereas necessaryParticipation in on-call weekend services on a rotating scheduleIdentify and provide feedback to issues and ongoing development of projectsWilling to work overtime as neededSpark Power Employee Benefits and Perks:

High school diploma or equivalentPost-secondary education with an electrical or mechanical base is an assetState certified Journeyman license an assetKnowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) an assetValid Driver’s License with clean driving record Must be able to lift 75lbPositive attitude, strong work ethic and a willingness to learnDigital literacy (proficiency with mobile apps and various software: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Report writing)Electrical & mechanical aptitude and experienceAttention to detailAbility to work with a team mentality and liaise with customers to ensure quality of serviceWork in adverse weather conditions and extreme temperaturesFirm commitment to safetyValid Driver's License and clean driving recordAbility to complete a drug test and background check if made an offer of employmentAbility to travel throughout the USWho is Spark Power?
