Description:

Actalent is looking for an Electrical Designer with 5+ years of Low/Medium voltage design. The ideal candidate must have experience working on electrical design in commercial projects and must be familiar with NEC. This is an opportunity for someone who understands the in and outs of Electrical design to build upon that knowledge and be trained in Photovoltaic system design (Solar). Wiring design and experience at a small engineering firm is a plus.

Education & Experience:

Medium Voltage design (required)

Traditional MEP building design (preferred)

PE license (not required)

Relevant Equipment/terms: Motor Control Center (MCC), Switchgear (SWGR), E-Room, cable trays, cable routing, grounding system, electrical schematic, wiring diagrams, arc flash.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Excellent organization & time management skills.

Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.

Capacity to manage large volumes of projects.

Strong detail-orientation and proofreading skills; attention-to-detail is a must.

Superior communication skills, both verbally and written, with customers, manufacturers, building officials and teammates.

Advanced understanding in NEC and other building codes.

Proficiency in MS Office: Excel, Word, etc.

Natural ability work in a team environment as well as independently
