**Position Specific Description**
This position sits within the Power Generation Division which is responsible for all of NextEra Energy's non-nuclear generation operations, exceeding 40,000 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity. This position will be based out of Western Rochester, NY and the incoming employee will need to live in or relocate to the area.
The position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of solar PV collection assemblies, battery energy storage, AC/DC inverters on multiple solar power plants to achieve safe, efficient, and environmentally sound plant operations. Maintains all tools, shops, vehicles, and all work locations in a safe and efficient condition. Provides inspection of watch, electrical, mechanical, and electronic trouble shooting for a solar arrays and inverters. Inspection is performed daily for fluid system breaches, mechanical component breakage or misalignment, and electrical component failures preventing inverters from producing grid power. A candidate would be responsible for supporting teammates in nearby states in the region, and maintainting reliability, operations and maintenance for sites in the Rochester/Hamlin/Sweden area in New York.
This position will include travel to other nearbysites and other misc duties as assigned
**Job Overview**
Employees in this role are responsible for the operation and maintenance of solar collection assemblies on multiple solar power plants to achieve safe, efficient, and environmentally sound plant operations. Successful candidates apply a working knowledge of troubleshooting electrical components and equipment to include the use of digital multi-meters, meggers, and amp clamps.
**Job Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Maintains all tools, shops, vehicles, and work locations in a safe and efficient condition
+ Provides inspection of watch, electrical, mechanical, and electronic troubleshooting for a solar field and pipeline
+ Performs daily inspection for fluid system breaches, mechanical component breakage or misalignment, and electrical component failures preventing a collector or groups of collectors from tracking
+ Travel to other sites will be required
+ Performs other job-related duties as assigned
**Required Qualifications**
+ High School Grad / GED
+ Experience: 1+ years
+ Valid Driver’s License (NON CDL)
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Associate's Degree
The estimated base pay for this position is $65,600.00 to $98,400.00 per year. Starting pay will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, job-related and industry knowledge and skills and education/training.
