Role : Solaris admin with Azure infra
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Solaris Administrator with expertise in managing Azure cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Solaris OS administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning, along with a strong understanding of Azure services, , and hybrid cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• 7-9 years of IT experience
• 5+ years of experience in Solaris Administration (versions 10/11).
• Administer and maintain Solaris-based systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Perform patching, upgrades, and security hardening on Solaris servers.
• Troubleshoot Solaris system issues, including kernel tuning and performance optimization.
• Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies for Solaris workloads.
• Work with Azure cloud services, including VM provisioning, networking, storage, and security.
• Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues to ensure optimal uptime.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and best practices.
• Strong knowledge of ZFS, LDOMs, Zones, and Jumpstart/AI provisioning.
• Experience in Azure infrastructure (VMs, networking, storage, security).
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and cloud migration strategies.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, or PowerShell).
• Good understanding of Linux (RHEL, CentOS, or Ubuntu) is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of IT security policies and compliance standards.
• Experience in backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305) are a plus.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
