**Job Description** We are seeking a skilled **Solderer / Electronics Assembler** with experience in fine electronic soldering for our client in the west end! In this role, you will be responsible for removing old soldered balls, replacing them with clean adhesive and new balls, soldering on new boards, and using glue or other adhesives as necessary. **Responsibilities** + Perform BGA reballing, including removal of old soldered balls and replacement with new ones. + Solder new components onto boards using appropriate adhesives and techniques. + Follow schematics for Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) electronics. + Complete technical writing and documentation for each finished piece. + Work with a station helper to prep materials and store finished batches. **Essential Skills** + Minimum of 1 year soldering experience on electronics (PCB, consoles, wire arrays). + Proficiency in electronic assembly and use of hand tools. + Ability to follow blueprints and schematics. + Experience with microscopes for detailed work. + Strong technical writing and documentation skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Knowledge of defense DO-170 regulations is an asset. + Experience soldering through a microscope is an asset. **Why Work Here?** + Supportive work environment with free parking and access to public transportation. + Proximity to Kanata Centrum for convenient food options during breaks. + Quiet, scent-free facility conducive to focused work. + Vending machines and a break room equipped with a fridge and microwave. + Standard workweek with opportunities for overtime to earn additional income. **Work Environment** + Quiet and clean workspace on the first level of the building. + Employees wear blue smocks provided on site and work in teams of two. + Station helper available to assist with material prep and storage. + Role involves sitting for extended periods with occasional movement around the lab. + Non-slip shoes required for safety. + Diverse and experienced team with over 15 years of tenure. + Processes documented in English, with many languages spoken on the floor. + Standard day shift from Monday at 7:00 am to Friday at 3:30 pm, and evening shift from Monday at 3:30 pm to Saturday at 12:00 am.
