**Job Description** We are seeking a meticulous and skilled Soldering Assembler to join our electronics manufacturing team in the defense industry! The ideal candidate excels in fine point soldering on PCBs, demonstrating manual dexterity and a keen attention to detail. **Responsibilities** + Perform BGA reballing - remove old solder balls and replace them with new ones. + Solder new balls onto the board using appropriate adhesives to secure components. + Maintain detailed records for each completed piece and engage in technical writing as needed. + Work on various electronic components, including PCBs, consoles, and wire arrays. + Work with microscopes and hand tools to ensure precision. + Follow schematics for COTS electronics. + Collaborate with station helpers who prep materials and handle finished batches. **Skills & Responsibilities** + Minimum of 1 year experience in soldering electronics (PCB, consoles, wire arrays) + Ability to follow schematics for COTS electronics. + Proficiency in technical writing and documentation. + Experience with hand tools and microscopes. + Knowledge of electronic assembly and blueprint reading. + Knowledge of defense DO-170 regulations is an asset. + Experience soldering through a microscope is a plus. **Why Work Here?** + Convenient access to public transportation and proximity to Kanata Centrum for dining options during breaks. + Enjoy a Monday to Friday schedule with opportunities for overtime to boost your income. + Work in a quiet, scent-free environment where most employees work independently. + Benefit from free parking, vending machines, and a break room equipped with a fridge and microwave. + Gain valuable industry experience with a well-known electronics manufacturer in defense! Work Environment + The production floor is located on the first level of the building and is very quiet and clean. + Employees wear blue smocks provided on-site and typically work in teams of two. + Each solderer has a station helper who preps materials and handles finished batches. + The role involves sitting most of the time but requires occasional movement around the lab. + Non-slip shoes are required, and due to the small size of components, the use of a microscope or eyeglasses is necessary. + The majority of the full-time staff have over 15 years of tenure, creating a diverse and experienced work environment. + 40-hour work week, day shift.
