**Solderer/Brazers Wanted in Mississauga, ON** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Solderer/Brazer to join our team, with a focus on working with prefabricated parts using both natural gas and oxygen. This position involves 50% brazing and 50% soldering on copper and brass materials, performing pressure and leak tests, and assembling and aligning various sized copper pipes and valves. This is a 6-month contracted job, with the opportunity to become a permanent employee after success completion of the term! **Responsibilities** + Perform brazing and soldering tasks on copper and brass materials using natural gas and oxygen. + Conduct pressure and leak testing with a 300psi nitrogen test. + Assemble, align, and clamp copper pipes and valves onto coil or riser units for soldering and brazing. + Perform regular equipment operation checks and report maintenance requirements or defects. + Follow the 'Safety First' philosophy and ensure proper housekeeping and clean-up of the welding booth. + Perform other duties as assigned. **Requirements** + Minimum of 1 year experience in brazing and soldering. + Knowledge from coop or school counts as experience. + Ability to read drawings, diagrams, and schematics. + Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. + Direct experience with oxy-acetylene soldering and brazing is a plus. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy extended health care benefits and an extra health spending account.
