Position: Soldering Technician Work Schedule:  Monday - Friday: 6am - 3:00pm  Pay Rate:  $20/hr.  Location: Irvine, CA 

SUMMARY 

With general supervision, the Soldering Technician installs electronic components into various circuit board assemblies according to the process or documentation provided. Solders components and assemble to printed circuit boards utilizing a soldering iron. Additionally, troubleshoot, repair and modify developmental and production electronic components.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To meet customer requirements using IPC A-610 standards Reading schematics and other technical manuals to fully understand how to perform various tasks Installing components onto printed circuit boards using hand tools such as screwdrivers and soldering irons Testing electronic devices to ensure they are operating properly Maintaining a safe working environment by wearing appropriate safety equipment such as goggles, gloves, and masks as needed Following safety procedures and regulations regarding chemical use and disposal Communicating with other technicians, engineers, and clients regarding project status and issues

REQUIREMENTS

Requires manual dexterity with fine motor skills along with high visual acuity. Ability to work with miniature to large components that may require visual magnification. Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions, drawings, and processes Maintain the highest level of quality standards at all times Maintain ESD Integrity within production environment Ability to work effectively within a team environment

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GED Two-year associate degree program in electronics or a related field. Preferred. One to two years of related experience
