Solution Analyst – Cathay Cargo Terminal (12-month contract)
Role Introduction

Reports to: Solution Lead / Senior Solution Lead

This role is part of the Solution Centre in our Information Technology (IMT) department who strive for continuous improvements so that we can provide you with a seamless experience with Cathay.

You will play a crucial role in translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications. You will be involved in collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to design, develop, and enhance software applications, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, user-friendly applications which align with the company’s vision and goals.

With your expertise, skills and knowledge in solution delivery, you will be assigned to be part of our Subsidiaries solution team, contributing to major transformation projects within our subsidiary bodies.

Key Responsibilities
Analyse requirements and assess detailed solutions options from a system perspectiveSupport solution design and contribute expertise and detailed knowledge to ensure high level design decisions are able to be deliveredFull conversion, creation, alignment, traceability and successful mapping requirements into functional and technical specificationsTo ensure requirements are mapped and documented to functional and technical specifications for software development projectsContribute expertise in supporting the development of technical specificationCarry out level 2 and level 3 incident supports for in-production systems and manage end user expectationsReview the Application Development vendors on development and implementation work as required  Oversee and QA the development of all solution components ensuring this meets requirements and complies with all relevant Cathay Pacific standardsKeep abreast of the business strategy, business plan and latest industrial trends

 

Requirements
A minimum of 6 years of IT with at least 3 years in application development and supportTertiary qualifications are essentialStrong interpersonal skills; promoting healthy relationships and team dynamics with internal and external stakeholdersWell-developed analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, leveraging both logic and creativity; strong troubleshooting skills; ability to identify patterns and generate ideasWith experience in supporting Peoplesoft Core HR, Absence and PayrollWith technical skill in Peopletools (Peoplecode, App designer, Integration Broker, XML publisher and SQR)Experience in Agile delivery model is an added advantageGood understanding of technology concepts, trends and capabilitiesEffective verbal and written communication skillFamiliar with Hong Kong Employee Ordinance & Employee Compensation Ordinance is beneficialCandidates with less experience may be considered as Solution Specialist
