Reports to: Solution Lead / Senior Solution Lead
This role is part of the Solution Centre in our Information Technology (IMT) department who strive for continuous improvements so that we can provide our customers with a seamless experience with Cathay.
As the Solution Analyst, you will play a crucial role in translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications. You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to drive the end-to-end solution development of software applications, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, user-friendly applications which reflect Cathay’s vision to becoming one of the world’s greatest service brands.
With your expertise, skills and knowledge in solution delivery, you will be assigned to be part of our People solution team to work on systems which support all our business-to-enterprise (b2e) and our People department’s operations. Enabling you to gain exposure in b2e and human resources systems that only a world-renowned airline can give.
Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze user requirements and assess detailed solutions options from a system perspectiveSupport solution design and contribute expertise and detailed knowledge to ensure high level design decisions are able to be deliveredFull conversion, creation, alignment, traceability and successful mapping requirements into functional and technical specificationsdocuments for solution development projectsProactive contribute expertise in supporting the development of technical specification
Carry out level 2 and level 3 incident support for in-production systems, and manage end user expectationsReview the Application Development vendors on development and implementation work as required. Oversee and QA the development of all solution components ensuring this meets requirements and complies with all relevant Cathay Pacific standards
Contribute and follow standards and frameworks for developmentCollaborate with other IT domains, drive innovation for business benefits
Keep abreast of latest business strategy, business plan and latest industrial trends
Requirements
A minimum of 3 years of IT analyst experience with hands on application development and support, as well as co-ordinate with external IT vendorCustomer focus, gains insight into customer needs. Identifies opportunities that benefit the customerStrong interpersonal skills; promoting healthy relationships and team dynamics with internal and external stakeholdersWell-developed analytical, problem-solving skills, make quality decision, leveraging both logic and creativity; strong troubleshooting skills, identify root and innovate solutionPassionate of latest IT technology, including on AI & Automation. Continues scan trends and capabilities can benefit business growthExperience in Agile delivery model is an added advantageWith experience in supporting HR related business application – an added advantage. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Provide timely and helpful information to others across IT domains and business usersTertiary qualifications are essential
